Tides - Alma: Reviews & Ratings
This our third time visiting the Fundy/Alma area and we always make sure to stop at this restaurant! The seafood has always been delicious and on our most recent visit my son raved his ribs were the best meal he ever had! Great service, along with a beautiful view.
Lobster for lunch, fresh from Fundy Bay! And the crab cakes and seared scallops with blueberry salad that others ordered were exceptional as well. No shortage of oohs & aahs at the table as we enjoyed our seafood feasts. The service was friendly and fast. Our waitress even took the time to show me how to get all the lobster meat out of its shell. Fun, delicious and a great time at Tides Restaurant in Alma New Brunswick. I'll be back again soon!
Tides in Alma is a wonderful spot for dining for fresh seafood. The service is beyond description...the server was so sweet and helpful. The dining area is spacious and has a real homey feel. The food was delicious. I forgot to take pictures of the food since I was so taken aback by the Hummingbird feeders. 4 x
Individual at front door was extremely welcoming and friendly, I think she may have been the manager. Server was kind and welcoming as well. Only restaurant in the area to serve us non beer-battered and was very welcoming to that. Dining room had amazing air conditioning and a beautiful view of the water front. They also had humming birds all across the window with their honey bird feeders. The place was extremely neat and tidy. The food was amazing as well and reasonably priced. Lastly, the young individual playing live music was extremely talented with his singing and instruments. 06/25/2025.
Okay, people listen up if you're looking for the best seafood around. I highly recommend coming here, my wife and I were here. And we got the haddock, served on jasmine rice with Thai coconut sauce. It was simply amazing. It will blow your taste buds away. We also got the lobster, Mac and cheese balls mouthwatering. Lots of lobster, delicious cheese sauce, just amazing. If you're looking for a great meal, I highly recommend you coming here. You will not be disappointed
We ate here twice once for lunch and once for dinner. The food was fantastic both times. We ended up trying a good assortment of the menu crab cakes (these were delicious, good texture and the trio of sauces was a good mix) mozzarella sticks, these were large, hot, gooey and crispy, and the tomato sauce good. The smoked salmon pasta, chicken stuffed lobster, citrus salmon were all delicious everything hot and fresh. By far my favourite was the Fundy scallops(baked scallops, garlic butter, cheese, tomatoes, green onion)the taste and texture was amazing. Rice pilaf for a side was good well seasoned. Desserts were divine hummingbird cake, and peanut butter pie. Staff was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. View of the bay, the boats and the tides was great. Loved to watch the hummingbirds at the windows of the restaurants too. Nice presentation of food as well.
We visited this establishment on Canada Day for lunch and had an overall excellent experience. The food was fantastic, and the service we received from Shannon was truly outstanding. Although we waited about 15 minutes after being seated without anyone approaching our table, Shannon quickly stepped in, apologized sincerely, and went above and beyond to make our visit enjoyable. Her menu recommendations were spot-on, and I really appreciated her hooking me up with some half-and-half tea. However, I was disappointed to witness how Shannon was treated by another staff member at the table next to ours. This person—who appeared to be a manager—chose to reprimand Shannon in front of guests. As someone who works in management, I found this behavior inappropriate and unprofessional. Constructive feedback should be given privately, not in front of customers. Despite that moment, we had a great lunch, thanks in large part to Shannon. I’d recommend the restaurant, but I do hope the leadership team reflects on the importance of respectful communication in the workplace.
